Learn How it all Started!

Play Misty Radio's founder, Erik Wilhelm Sturm, first started broadcasting in December of 2007 from Seoul, South Korea. An artist and song writer, Erik was tired of trying to appeal to the mainstream with his experimental music and decided to create a radio station for original music from independent artists around the world. This was the birth of Bohemio Radio.

Bohemio Radio managed to reach a listener base of over 600,000 worldwide in the two years of operation. During those years, the station managed to create global awareness for causes around the world. One of our biggest accomplishments was bringing recognition to Laurie Larson, who ended up being nominated for a Grammy as a result of being heard on Bohemio Radio.

The station generally relied on funding from its listeners. After many attempts to keep the station on the air, Bohemio Radio Partners was forced to discontinue the stream. One year later, the domain name “Bohemio Radio” was released for purchase. It was immediately purchased by a private company, a direct result of its high traffic rankings.

Bohemio Radio Partners continues to be operational, bringing to you Play Misty Radio. We will continue to bring original music to your ears from independent artists around the world. While we have managed to obtain a much more affordable stream, we always appreciate any donations to help keep this station on the air.

When his voice was first heard he was told he was born with a gift, and has been singing every since. Currently residing in Los Angeles, Chestcott continues to innovate, and create new sounds.
